Planning, building and operation of a treatment plant for light rejects of a paper factory which in addition has heavy-weight dirt and broke. This is carried out with the objective of generating an integrated solution for the production of highly processed energy pellets with the characteristics of standard fuel. These pellets shall be sold to incineration plants or power plants.
Development of a technical solution with three significant challenges
- Pellet diameter of 8 to 12 mm maximum
- Drying of large material flows at extremely low temperature level
- Separation process (sorting process) of extremely small particle sizes
The starting point for this concept is the claim to transform parts of the material flow into a qualified marketable by-product. Among other things this has a sustainable influence on the reduction of the carbon footprint because the downstream disposal channels are eliminated in this way. Thus, a “zero-waste process” is installed successfully and the dependency of conventional disposal processes “on the road” is reduced distinctly.
On the basis of a long-term transparent cooperation, operation and marketing contract, a processing plant is erected completely new on the premises of the paper and cardboard producer. This shall include a building structure, drying technology, shredding, automation as well as comprehensive material handling and silo technology. The planning and realisation period for this will take approx. 1.5 years.
This pellet produced is supplied directly to the works of the users, and substitutes the fossil energy carriers used. This also follows the logic of a sustainable CO2 reduction.
